I've always wanted to get a belly button piercing but I want to know your opinions. Are they good? Bad? Pros and cons. Personal opinions.

PRO's
- it makes me feel more confident about my belly
- it makes summer outfits & bikinis look even more beautiful
- I absolutely love it!
CON's
- takes up to a year to fully heal
- needs frequent cleaning
- gets easily infected
- mine hurt to get done :c
I absolutely love mine, & I'm so happy I got it done. in my opinion the Pro's easily outweigh the Con's. I definitely say get it done if you want it c:

Easily infected? How so? Does it make it harder to clean your bellybutton? How often should I clean it if I get it? When should I take it off? At what age do you think is good to get one? Sorry for the questions.

You might wanna just talk to a piercer for your questions haha.

I agree with everything Kyraa said. It's not hard to clean, it just gets bumped a lot and irritated. Mine took forever to heal, at least a year. As for the age, I don't know whenever you're allowed to and want one.

They're good in my opinion :) I got mine done over spring break and I don'are regret it at all. it personally didn't even hurt when I got mine done, it was just a little pinch and a tiny bit sore afterwards, but not long at all. it does look super cute with bikinis and crop tops, especially when you're tan :) it makes me feel confident as well. I've had mine for about 5 months and it never got infected and is pretty much healed but I haven't changed it yet just to be sure. make sure to clean it 3-6 times a day with the sea salt spray the piercer will give you. it's not hard to clean. I'm 16 and I think that's a good age to get one, even though I got
mine at 15 :) you should definitely get one though!

Kyraa is correct :)
I love belly button rings and I really want one.
You can get one at any age but you have to have parent consent until your 18
I would have one right now but my parents won't let me :/

I don't have a belly button ring, but I always found them beautiful as long as you don't get one of the huge gaudy ones.

Yay but I think you should get one at 17/18. I mean we're all kids basically and we shouldnt think about getting it at the time. Because sometimes maybe in the future you may regret it.

I love mine. I like to make my own dangly belly button rings. I used the Claire's ear solution to clean it (which was recommended by my peircer) it took about 6months to heal but it hurt really bad! I had tears. It hurt much more than my tattoo by far! But then again I suppose it depends on you too, some people say it doesn't hurt at all. :p.

Depending on you're belly button the piercing can be hard to keep. I was going to get mine done and the piercer told me my `shelf` is very small and it would have to be redone every two years or so.

Me and a friend got ours done together at 14 (farrrr to young n naughty lol) and it was abit of a nasty pinch but you can handle it :) it took the longest to heal out of all my piercings but did fine eventually. Shiane S is right in that it really depends on your belly button how long you keep it for. My friends LITERALLY fell out after about a year cause her 'shelf' was so small! but 7 years (OMG) on mine is still fine :)
