Okay, so I'm going to my friend's Halloween party. She's popular, so it's kind of a big deal, and it's my first high school Halloween party, and I really want to make it a night to remember.
Here's the problem: we're supposed to wear costumes. I have NO idea what to wear. Here's some info about me to help:
I like "kawaii" (cute in Japanese I think) things.
I don't want to be scary.
I don't want to seem really girly though. Childish is also a no-no. I am NOT going to dress up as a unicorn princess. Period.
I'm willing to temporarily dye my hair or buy a wig.
Face makeup is also allowed, but I also want no face makeup, maybe regular makeup.
I don't want to look like I'm desperate for a guy. That means no miniskirt and corset bunny costumes.
I want to be different, I want to stand out instead of being one of the many vampire queens or whatever.
My eye color is a very light blue. I don't really want to wear eye contacts.
My hair color is dirty blonde or brown. Like I said before, I'm willing to dye my hair or wear a wig.

EDIT: Just to make things clearer, I'm okay with face makeup. It would be okay if I just wore regular makeup though.

I really like the broken doll one. I've always admired steampunk, but it takes a lot of time and effort to make a costume like that. I really like the cat idea, but it seems like a popular idea. Thanks for all the ideas!

I would defiantly choose something that you don't have to explain what you are. Like people won't ask what you are.
