Here I am on the hunt again my lovelies. So I need your input on a good eyeshadow base that would be comparable to a Mac paint pot with no shimmer? Any suggestions beauties?

I have some color tattoos and most of them have shimmer. I have one darker one that doesn't. There were some limited edition color tattoos that I missed out on that would have been perfect for what I need. Alas limited edition!! Ugh

The left most little pot is an actual paint pot from Mac, the middle pot is a NYX jumbo eye pencil depotted into a little sample jar from a Clinique counter, and the jar on the right is a Milani eye pencil depotted into an empty Mac paint pot jar.
They're all similar in texture and the drugstore pencils come in a bunch of colors the paint pots don't lol. Milani has a line of matte eye pencils specifically- (really close dupes for MACs soft ochre or painterly) I found them on CherryCulture.com and paid like $4 for each one :) To depot them I just hold them under a hair dryer and let the product drip into the pot, it only takes like 5 minutes and if my boyfriend would ever hold the freakin hair dryer for me it would take even less, lmao. Hope this helps boo :*

PS they melt into the jar pretty evenly when depotting them lol mine are just pretty tortured because I've used them a bunch c:

Actually never mind lol, Cherry Culture doesn't sell Milani anymore apparently! The like 3 things they have left are on clearance. I'm sorry lol, CVS sells Milani though and the matte shades are in stock on their website! "Almond Cream" is really similar to MACs "Soft Ochre" but without the yellow tones. Maybe if Painterly and Soft Ochre had a baby haha. Lots of other brands have jumbo pencils too, Jordana does, Sephora brand has some too but they might all be shimmery!

@Grace I think this is such a great idea!! I have the nyx pencil in milk. I can't find the milani shadow pencils anywhere in my area! It's soooooo frustrating! They are building a new cvs down the street right now maybe they will have them!

Ok so! used it today and here are my impressions :
- I find it easier to apply with the fingers than a concealer brush cause it's very creamy at first buy has a powder finish.
- when I applied my eyeshadow, I was afraid that this powder texture would show trough but not at all! the application of the eyeshadow was really smooth.
- I found that the pigmentation of my eyeshadow was a bit improved as well.
- I had my makeup on for 12 hours without any touch up and girls, I was impressed!! no smudges or any creasing at all! it was looking the exact same as 12h ago!
so over all, for my first try I really liked it!! the only other eye primer I used was the photo ready by smashbox and for me, the Lancome one just holds everything much longer and even enhance my eyeshadow! I look forward to try it more with different shades and techniques!
