Honestly, I don't think anyone would be paying heavy attention to your shoes so I think you can get by wearing black character shoes if you have them from choir or theater. I tend to reuse clothes a lot since I'm broke as a joke. And oddly enough I found really good 1920's style accessories at a Oriental trading store recently. Hope that helps!
