Omg yes!! it makes me stiff (like you said...) and I don't know just feel a weird!

I hate it too! I do other peoples nails all the time (not a professional) but rarely do my own and won't let anyone else do them at all. I just hate it. But instead of stiff it makes mine super flexible and bendy lol, it's really weird.
