Try Smashbox Studio skin 15-hour wear foundation. It's a med-full coverage foundation and has a lovely satin matte finish. It's just kind of like skin and it lasts ALL day and doesn't separate. It never looks cakey on me...,it's my HG foundation.

I noticed you use the mat velvet, but try just the regular of MUFE. I use it with a primer, it stays, covers, and doesn't cause break outs on me. Gives a natural light look. Hope you find one that works for you!

I've been struggling with acne for several years now and as a result I have a lot of acne scars. My skin tone is also very uneven and I have a hard time balancing my oil levels. I recently started using Dior's hdrya-life close up pore minimizing moisturizer (it's a long name but I'm pretty sure that's correct) and after just a week my skin tone was so much more even and my acne scaring has started to fade and I haven't had a single zit and my skin finally feels like it has a normal level of oil. It's pretty pricey but it's definitely my holy grail product. You can ask the girls at Sephora for a small sample. I would also make sure to use some kind of sun protection because I've noticed that my skin always looks worse after being exposed to a lot of sun light.

Also ALWAYS use a setting powder after foundation it absorbs oils giving it a less shinny look, also if you feel your face too oily use a matte powder.

I would switch to the tarte full coverage Amazonia clay foundation and I would recommend applying it with a damp beauty blender! It covers really well and looks flawless! I also recommend using a smash box primer any kind would work really well with any skin type! Lastly I would use some type of rose water spray for your face before applying primer, not only does it smell good but it gives you a fresh great smelling face to apply your makeup! :)

Hey guys!
I have tried a few high end foundations and haven't found something that works for me. I have very uneven skin and acne/acne marks and prefer a med-full coverage.
I have used Clinique Superbalanced (too oily), Tarte BB Cream (too oily), Clinique Acne Solutions (too oily/dry??), MUFE Mat Velvet+ (too cakey/dry), Hourglass Immaculate (patchy, oxidized), and Kat Von D Tattoo Foundation (cakey/dry/oily).
I do exfoliate, moisturize. I've tried different primers (silicone, mattifying, hydrating), setting spray, and it just doesn't work out.
Are my expectations too high? Do I have crazy skin? Or does anyone else have this problem and have any tips?
