Do lip scrubs like these work?? If so how do you use them?

I'm not familiar with those brands of lip scrubs, but I absolutely adore this sugar lip scrub I got from Bath and Body Works. Its literally like a body scrub, but you don't have to rub it off! I just rub a little onto my lips with my finger, then massage my lips together. The sugar crystals just dissolve, leaving my lips super soft and non-chapped! Sometimes theres a little residue that I don't like too much though, so I just wipe it off and put on a little EOS or Burt Bees (:
