Tease the top, curl the rest with a flat iron going in different directions, then run your fingers through your hair or brush out the curls, then maybe a bit more teasing if nessacary. What I like to do is after I curl and brush them out, I flip my hair to get that big look then hairspray it so it stays looking like I just flipped it. Sorry if this didn't help

Hmm. Maybe don't wear the extensions? Short, messy hair is so in style right now and I LOVE the look of it.

Hm, could you add layers to your extensions? That might help it blend better.

For what it's worth, I love your short hair in your pictures! It seems to suit you well. Plus it has that messy, undone style you're going for - I bet when it grows out it'll be perfect for what you want.
