Hi ladies, I'm looking to purchase a black liquid liner, what do you ladies recommend. I am currently using the Maybelline gel liner, I want something for a more defined wing. I would appreciate your help, thanks.

I am such a fan of maybelline gel eyeliner but I can't find it anymore where I live and lost it when my makeup bag was stolen anyway I'd recommend illamasqua ink eyeliner.

Oh it's totally ok. I live in a small city in Mexico :) I love where I live but sometimes it's hard to get nice stuff or it is excessively expensive luckily my mom lives in California so I buy stuff online and she brings them when she comes to visit.

That sucks, but it's nice that you have your mom to bring you the stuff.

There's the L'Or?al lineur intense that is freaking amazing and cheap and lasts forever, and Revlon colorstay liners work really well too =)

I tried the Maybelline gel liner but I smudged on me- I also tried the Physicians formula but a) the black is more like charcoal and b) the liner would flake off and disappear throughout the day. Kat Von D and Eyeko (silver packaging) were good but it dried out so quickly.
The only thing I have tried that truly stays on, last for 2 months + and is dark is the Stila stay all day. I can draw sharp, precise lines with it and it is truly waterproof and smudge proof. It is so easy to use as well. But I know that many Japanese and Korean brands makes similar product so if you like online shopping, you may want to look into that.
Regardless of what you buy, go for the pen/marker style liquid liner. The other kind with the felt tip that you twist out of the liquid (I.e. Maybelline stilletto), always end with too much product or not enough, and has a tip too thick for precise application.

Thanks for your suggestions. Sharon, I tried the stiletto liner and I hate the felt tip. I will definitely get the pen style liner.

If your still interested in gel, I highly recommend the Inglot gel, it's by far the best eyeliner I've ever used, its so long lasting, versatile and durable. You can use it for a fab wing or put it in the waterline and it will stay perfect all day. It is super hard to remove tho :/ it can sometimes be a pain
