This happened to me too I don't think it's an allergic reaction because it also happened to my sister and mom
I suggest applying aloe Vera or baby aveeno cream it helps with bad rashes and let it be don't wash that area of your face for a while and don't drink any pop or juice that could make it sting more also don't wear any makeup over it let it heal and whatever you do don't pick at the scabs because you could get bad scarring I have some scars from it and it's not the best thing to have
Also putting ice on it can help :)
I suggest from now on just waxing it can be painful but the pain only lasts for a short amount of time plus the hair grows back thinner and every time you was it becomes less painful
