Ideas for "Wood" makeup?

Hello everyone! So I'm working on my class's mascot, and we have Pinocchio this time! The thing is, we're going to "paint" the girl with makeup. What are some ideas or techniques you guys have for makeup that looks like wood? Thanks in advance!

Madeyewlook has a tutorial on YouTube. It maybe air brush though. Most likely there is some kind of tutorial on YouTube you can look up.
It really hard to explain through text on how to get that look.
