Hi all

You may have noticed that I haven't been around lately, but I've been here observing, just not commenting. I've missed talking to you all so much! I've finally gotten some time to myself now, so I'm back and I wanted to ask you ladies a question.

My sister is having a baby shower this weekend, and I'm wearing this dress with a pair of orange shoes that I'll post a picture of shortly. My question is, what makeup would be baby-shower-appropriate, but still interesting? Most of you know that my taste in makeup is somewhat wild, and I'm not much of a neutrals girl. I was thinking of doing an orange lip with some sort of teal eyeliner, or a gradient eye with white/teal/navy. Do we think that either of those would be acceptable? I'm just not sure what would be too much, if anything would be. Am I overreacting? Anyway, I would absolutely love to hear your opinions, and any other ideas or suggestions you have!

I've missed you all SO much, and I hope everything is going well with you guys =)

Thanks, all!

And here are the shoes to go with it, because you probably can't tell but the flowers are orange in the center and totally gorgeous.

That is a beautiful dress and your idea of makeup seems like a great choice with the teal eyeliner and I'm always up for orange lips :) you have great taste.

I agree as well that the teal eye and orange lip would look lovely with that dress and those heals! Glad you're back Hannah!

I agree with the teal liner. I feel like a gradient eye with white, teal n navy would be too much. is the middle of the dress black or navy?
and I love those shoes :-)

So happy to see you're back. hope you're doing well! I was wondering about you lately.
that dress is beautiful. I think itll look great with the makeup you've chosen to do. I would probably go for a darker color on the eyes like a navy but I know you're into colors so it sounds good:) I would love to see the complete look on sunday

Thanks Aileen, I'm glad to be back around. I'm not much of a simple makeup person, though :)

I think a gradient eye would look super cute!

What about sparkly light pink shadow, and maybe some gold in there. With a bronze shade as the darkest for more definition.
Really highlighting the inner corner with a super cute pearl finish shadow, and then highlight the brow bone with pearl finish shadow as well and then of course some black liner (maybe a really dramatic winged line) and finish out with lots of mascara,

For the lips I like the picture Erica posted, or you could also do a berry lip color. Something like Milani in "plum rose" or "chilled brandy" or Mac in "rebel"

Thanks so much, Andrea, that sounds very very pretty but it's not my style at all :) I love deep lip colors, I just don't want to go too dark because it's a morning baby shower and it's a happy, light occasion, you know? I hope I'm making sense here!

Thanks Sandra :)
