White heads, if they are ready, should be painless and will often pop after lightly exfoliating.

Also, I found that if I have a pencil or something in my hand I don't pick.

Not pop. For me it leaves a mark for a long time. And then my face gets tan except for the scars 😣
Fortunately I don't have a lot of pimples and my scars have finally gone away

I don't really break out just sometimes when I'm about to start my monthly time. So I don't really pop them but I do remember reading in a magazine once (pretty sure it was cosmopolitan) that it is fine to pop it but stop once you see any blood coming out or anything that isn't actually part of the pimple. You know the white stuff not sure what it's called but I hope it made sense. Now idunno how reliable that is but just remember reading that

I say no to popping zits, I know its tempting cuz they look gross but it leaves a scare on my face.

Don't pop them! The same thing happens to me and it should have something to do with your skin type! If you get pimples regularly (even if not a lot, just that you mostly will always have at least one) go to a dermatologist for a good 'ointment' so it will go away fast enough and there will be no need to pop it!

I've heard your not suppose to pop them because of bacteria going deeper into your skin. So I guess don't pop. I have the same problem thought because most of the time when I pop my pimples they scar as well. So try to just pop white heads and try not to pop your pimples that much and make sure you keep them really really clean.

I'm really bad for popping pimples >.<
I've been told it's okay to pop a pimple if it's a whitehead that's obviously ready to go xD you should wash your hands, wrap your fingers in a Kleenex, & then lightly squeeze until it pops. I usually then apply a spot treatment to kill any remaining bacteria.
I don't know if this is the proper way to do it, but it's what I do & it actually works pretty good for me (:

Popping them forces the pus to "explode" from under the skin leaving an uneven edges. Uneven edges are more likely to scar. Try to think of it as every time you pop a pimple you are "detonating a bomb" under your skin. Not a pretty picture to imagine. You can lance certain pimples safely, the ones with a "head", (check out youtube) but not cystic pimples. Those are too deeply embedded in the skin.

Try popping them by poking a needle on it and then that will help reduce the chance of scaring.

Or it might help a little.

Me too :c I don't think there's anything you can do - other than not popping it - to prevent the scarring part.

Well for cystic acne, they at times break the skin themselves so they'll leave scars no matter what. If they need to be popped then pop them.

My trick is to think 'A week with the pimple, pr years with the scar' and that way temptation goeas away!! Hope that helps!

I usually pop mine, but only if they're a white head. It's painless and disappears within a day. If I have a large pimple, and it's not a white head, I put witch-hazel on it and it becomes a white head. I don't know if that's good or bad to do, but it works for me!

Personally, I wouldn't. Not worth the risk. Personally, I wash my face with an anti-acne rinse and use clearisol (did I spell that right) acne cream or the pads you rub on. Or you can try turmeric. DONT POP.

Oh you could put hot compresses on the white heads to draw out the infection.

Popping them scars and it's not good because when you pop them the bacteria can spread and cause more pimples. its better to leave them be:)

No! It makes them way more red and irritated! NO POPPING! 💕😁

I always exfoliate as it tightens my skin, then I'll pop any if I have some (that are ready to pop) and the, personally, I exfoliate again and then moisturize 10-15 minutes after letting my face tighten :) also when I pop a relatively bigger spot, and it bleeds or gets sore,(however odd this sounds) I put baby nappy rash ointment/cream on them as it helps heal sensitive skin! I never get spot scars however everyone is different and I think I'm quite lucky when it comes to spots as I very rarely get many! You'll find a way best for you soon enough :) x

I used to be very bad for picking at my skin but I've stopped in the last few months and its really helped. I only pop milia (I get it a lot under my lips on my chin) with clean hands and then I use my face with my charcoal wash after, moisturise and put on spot treatment. I don't pick at anything else anymore and I've noticed that if I do get a spot it always goes away so much quicker if I leave it alone. As for the cystic acne, everytime I got that I always picked it because I hated seeing it on my face and it would turn into a scab that would stay on my face for a month so probably best to leave that alone.
