Sure wear makeup not too much so that he can love your natural beauty just some mascara eyeliner and a pink lip or other color :)

If you get highlights you should do a dark blonde or red. I would wear jeans and a shirt with a cute jacket or cardigan and your favorite shoes! Now for the makeup, don't go to all out. Like don't wear to much. Go for a natural look or a very light gold look. Here is some pictures!
