I've been using Mederma scar gel on some surgery and burn scars, and lately I've been wondering if it is okay to use on my face as well. Btw I have oily acne prone skin.

I personally would skip on using this product on your face.
It does contain alcohol. Which causes free-radical damage and can hurt skin's ability to repair itself, which is vital when you are trying to make a scar better.

I use lemon slices to fade my acne scars. make sure you moisturize so your skin doesn't get dry. if you have open wounds, wait till they heal. if your skin is sensitive you can dilute a few drops of lemon juice with a few drops of water and apply where needed.
