I am not sure why this happens, I moisturize with olay and use primer the body shop vitamin c skin boost. Any other part of my face wen wearing powder looks good, just not the nose and upper lip area!
I use tarte amazonian clay powder. Please help!

My whole face would get really cakey so I started using a loose powder instead of a pressed powder. Using a translucent powder might help too, I know revlon has some really good ones.

I find exfoliating two to three times a week helps so much. Just do it right before you will apply your makeup and also totally agree with what Taylor said above, using loose powder instead! Big help!

I can get that problem and not even wear powder. For me, it was the foundation that was the problem & powder would just make it worse. For whatever reason (probably my age) I can not wear too much foundation in that area (as a matter of fact, all around my mouth). I use the LEAST amount of foundation (although I use a medium coverage CC Cream) in that area. The least I can get away with. Then I LIGHTLY dust a yellow toned powder on. I like yellow toned because if the light application of foundation doesn't completely cover any residual redness I have, the yellow powder will help to counteract some of it. So, what I'm saying is...try wearing less foundation in that area & use the least amount of powder you can get away with.

Also, wait a couple minutes to let the foundation set before powdering. If your foundation is still wet, when you're applying your powder, it will definitely cake up.

It may be the hair on your face clinging to the makeup. To prevent it, just apply in downward strokes. I have that issue but using downward strokes completely gets rid of it.
