How to protct colored hair when swimming?

How do I prep my hair to protect it when I swim? I already have a silicone cap, but when I took it off my hair was wet. I use Surface shampoo and conditioner already cause I color my hair. I do not want to damage it from the chlorine, or it affect my black color any suggestions? First time posting...

Hi Kat! Welcome to the talk section, I am sure you would love it here with all these wonderful ladies. :) I love swimming and I use the Moroccan oil leave in for curly hair, tie my hair in a tight bun and then wear my cap. I am a water rat and get my hair soaked everytime cuz I spend hours at the pool, but its never been damaged. Hope this helps.
