Date night outfit- yes or no?

So,
I'm going tk a sushi bar Saturday night with my best friend of two years. this will be our first official date.
he's seen me at my worst and knows that I'm usually quite casual, and even though I'm just a teenager, I want to dress up.

I picked this outfit out, but I think it may be too fancy. What do you think? if no, how can I dress it down or switch it out for something less overdone?

Hmmm... Is the date fancy or casual. If its fancy then keep it but if its casual then go for maybe a skirt or a dress that's not sparkly

Cute! Maybe do flats instead, and do a more natural makeup and maybe a messy fishtail braid to dress it down? Congrats and have fun! :)

Haha that's the problem! I know its a fancy restaurant but I've never been there so I don't know the atmosphere.
and I alwaaaays wear smokey eyes when I go out. like my eyes are always going to be the statement. but my dilemma is balancing iut the outfit so I could go fancy with everything else..
