I think makeup is very powerful. I can use it to convey how I'm feeling on a particular day, AND it gives me confidence. I use my hair and makeup to help me reinvent myself as many times as I want. And I think every version of me is beautiful (some more than others, lol), so it's not a question of feeling ugly underneath. That's just my two cents. :-)
And about those pictures; The women look happier with the makeup on, I think, so I assume they feel as confident and self assured as I do when I'm wearing my makeup.

When I look at these pictures I think wow. I think makeup can be so amazing. Like the girl in the photo in upper left, youtuber iheartmakeup92, I always see that photo floating around the internet saying it's too much makeup or things like that but she had severe acne that she is just trying to cover up. And I think whatever makes you happy and feel beautiful is what you should do. If you feel like you need a ton of makeup on to feel confident then go for it. Whatever makes you confident then wear it! Whether it be a little or a lot.

I think its very important to be comfortable in your "own skin." However, if you can look better, why not? I wear makeup for everything (other than working out) and people love to hate on me but IDC! I look and feel good 👍

Wearing makeup is the only bit of confidence I have and I can wipe it off with a tissue. It's sad but true. Without it I feel so gross and ugly and to me it's about a woman's have to do what a woman's have to do. If I could buy a body suit to look thin I would. In a heart beat... But it could also go both ways in some cases

I don't think any of those girls are deceiving anyone, to me I don't see what's wrong with wanting to perfect yourself, if that's a full face of makeup whether it be everyday or every other day it doesn't matter to me. I feel comfortable leaving my house without it but on the days I do apply it, I end up smiling more and generally feeling better about going out, I get excited to put makeup on hahah. I really love the last picture, it's a dramatic change but she's gorgeous. I always think of it as "you need your bare face to create your makeup face" to me, the same person is still there. If that makes sense hahah.
