I noticed that everyone on YouTube always wears primer but I've never really used it! I have dry to very dry skin and was wondering if I really need to use a primer under my foundation?

I don't really believe in primers I never use any and my makeup lasts all day, I also have dry skin but as long as u moisturize before your foundation so it has something to stick to, but everyone's skin is different

You don't really need primers but an anti shine one is good for oily skin..primers wasn't around when I started doing makeup many moons ago lol..you can try it out and see if it's for you :-)

I think my foundation looks smoother and does a better job at hiding my freckles if I put primer on beforehand. My favorite is Victoria's Secret airbrush fx ($18 per 1oz bottle so definitely not the cheapest) but it lasts a while and a little goes a long way. They have one that moisturizers and primes!

I use the smashbox primer and it feels nice when u put it on because it feels like silicone but I honestly don't see a difference without it maybe a bit less oilyness

I used the smashbox primer today under my foundation and I seen a difference I liked it because I have large pores and acne so it covered them well I guess it depends on ur skin if u really need primer or not

Since switching up my routine a primer routine for the face is null and void but for the eyes I occasionally reach for it. Out of the primers I've tried I had the best success with NARS oil-free primer. No increased oil production or breaking out. And it did an awesome job at diffusing my large pores around my nose.
