I love using products in new and creative ways. for example, I discovered OCC lip tars work great as a cream blush, many shimmery eyeshadows double as a cheekbone highlight. what creative ways have you used products other than their intended use?

I use Vaseline for mostly everything. I use it to moisturize my eczema-ridden skin, as a lip balm, and as a water-proof makeup remover/lash conditioner. It's amazing

I will need to try the OCC lip tars as blush. Especially my hot pink one called Nylon.

I've taken Rosebud lip salve and used it on my eyebrows (only works best during the winter...living in FL it will melt down my face during summer).

Lippies as a creme blush base, shimmer shadows for facial highlights, eyeliners as lipliners, bronzers as eye shadows, e.s for brows, mixing liquid highlighters into foundation, etc. I haven't gotten around to this but learned from a beauty site that in a pinch you could use mascara on an angled brush and use for liner!

QueenOfBlending has used the lip tars as blush too! I've seen people use blush/bronzer as eyeshadow.

oh she did? that's great yeah it looks pretty and you just need the smallest amount. I love using a good matte bronzer to define my eye crease. Secret Service from Urban Decay is one of my favorite eyeshadows because I can use it on brows, to contour or as shadow I always have backups because I use it so much.

Hair Spray on a mascara wand to tame eyebrows and stay in place, hair spray to set face makeup, eyeliner as lip liner, lip liners and eyeliners as eyebrow pencils for funky colored brows, eyeshadows as blush and bronzers, blush and bronzers as eyeshadows, nail polish remover to get rid of hair dye stains(bleach works better, though) and eyeshadows to help turn lipsticks into lip stains

I use Brown Mascara to fill in and shape my eyebrows (all in one step, plus Ihave control over the shape and thickness of my brows). I also use OCC lip tars as blush. I Use brown eyeshadows for contouring (gives me a more precise and detailed contour). I also highlight the rest of my face with highlight color eyeshadows.

In a pinch I wiped off my mascara wand on the back of my hand and applied it as liner to create a cat eye with an angled brush!

I've mixed eyeshadows with lip balms to create a semi-matte lip color. I also buy a basic black eyeshadow & use a setting spray to wet it & use it as eyeliner.

I mix broken pressed shadows with clear polish to make new polish colors. I stopping buying brow powder/pencil and now just use a matte brown eyeshadow to fill my brows and I can't tell a difference. My shimmery shadows are great face highlighters, and vice versa for shimmery blushes-- they look just as nice on the eyes. I make my own tinted moisturizer out of Tarte Maracuja Creaseless Concealer and moisturizer, because it gives more coverage on days when my skin looks like hell. Before I had any purple and red blushes, I'd use lipstick to get the color I needed. I'll need to try some of these other ideas. Great suggestions!
