What's the best brush or sponge, etc. to apply foundation? Not necessarily brands, but type? Thank you!

I like duo fiber brushes or stiff Kabuki brushes

Before my dog destroyed it i really liked my beauty blender. Now i use my fingers to apply foundation and a kabuki brush to blend it out.
