So tomorrow I am going to the carnival. It's going to be really hot and a long day and I'm going to be riding lots of rides. My makeup always seems to fade a lot by the end of the day! My concealer especially. And that horrid black under the eyes and in the corners... Gosh I hate it :/
I recently bought the NYX dewy finish setting spray, and I do kinda like it sometimes... But at the same time I don't, because it always seems to take off part of my makeup right away. When I spray it on my makeup fades even more.
I do use primer and that helps a ton for my foundation. But my concealer and mascara especially don't stay.
Just wondering if anyone has any "miracle" drugstore products to recommend. If not that's okay, I will deal with it. Just wondering if anyone has any super amazing finds. I say super amazing cuz I'm out of a car right now and I'd have to walk up into town to buy it so I'm not really going to unless I know it'll be worth it.
I know that's asking a lot. It's really fine if you don't know of any, just touchy I'd give it a shot in case :)
Also, does anyone know why my concealer won't stay? I use Rimmel match perfection.

I do use primer under my eyes. I never use powder under my eyes though because they tend to look very dry and I feel like that would make them worse.
I have a question though, do you put foundation under your concealer? Because I don't. Maybe that's why?
Haha, I didn't even think of the fact that my mascara problems could be because I'm spraying a liquid on my face and it's not waterproof. I will try the spray with waterproof mascara then :) thanks

Try setting your concealer with powder lightly it works magic! I have dry skin aswell and use fit me concealer with fit me powder underneath acouple shades lighter and it stays very well. also do you put concealer first then foundation?

Well it's not drugstore but urban decay all nighter is the best and you can get a small bottle for 14$ I believe!

Couple tips:
-creams tend to say put better in hot weather. That means cream shadow, blush, etc. Set with a powder for staying power.
-use a finishing spray instead of a setting spray. Big difference. Finishing spray actually makes the makeup water proof and adheres it to your face.
-go without bottom liner. If you do, set with a shadow.
-use a good primer. Hourglass mineral veil primer is suppose to be magic in a bottle. They sell a travel size for $18 at sephora

So I have oily/combo skin and I find that using products with the same base (water or oil) helps as a start - but these products last all day for me
Primer: hourglass
Foundation: MUFE mat velvet
Or bb cream in place of primer n foundation: tarte
Powder : kat Von d pressed powder foundation
Concealer: MUFE HD cream concealer
Setting powder: tarte smooth operator
Setting spray: skindinavia matte setting spray
All these combined help my makeup to last all day

Even in this hot 80+ degree 90+% humidity weather in TN and I walk a mile to school every day n makeup is still there at the end of the day until I remove it with makeup remover wipes.

Oh sorry nothing I mentioned was drugstore... The high end products I find are best to last all day.. And they don't break me out... So to me it's worth the investment

But usually anything waterproof is always a good bet - the MUFE products are waterproof n kat Von d is water resistant.

Thank you all! Those are a lot of good tips :) I don't really have the means or time to go buy a new primer/powder/concealer right now for tomorrow, but I think with some of these tips I'll be able to make it at least a little better with what I have.
And Genesis, no I don't put concealer under foundation. I usually don't put foundation at all under my eye area, only concealer. I just tried it with foundation under it though and I think that might work a lot better. More coverage for if it starts to fade.

And Diana, your suggestions are still helpful :) I do but high end products sometimes. I just meant if I were to buy something for tomorrow it would have to be drugstore since I would have to walk and there are no high end stores around here. But that's helpful for the future :)

For a drugstore mascara I really suggest the bombshell lash mascara even with water you need to scrub to get it off that stuff doesn't budge! I'm not really sure about anything else because I'm pretty much in the same boat as you
