Hi Emily, I would suggest contouring! I personally use Mac's #109 brush. Making a fishy face, apply the MATTE bronzer (ie: Mac Skinfinish Natural or Too Faced..) or color that is 1-2 shades darker than your tone into the hollow parts of your cheeks. Making sure to blend...blend. Make sure not to go past your pupils starting at the tip of your ears down in a 90 degree angle.. Then apply blush to the apples/cheek bones and then optional...apply shimmer to top of cheekbones. Then take a kabuki brush and blend all together. FYI, there are many great Utube videos for demonstration. Hope this helps somewhat... = )

I agree with Deedi A. Contouring is the way to go to help define cheeks. I use Tarte cheek stain on the apples of my cheeks & Burberry blush #07 earthy blush as contour shade, I brush it under my cheek bones, under my chin, & along the sides of my nose. It's easy enough to do everyday and works with my fair complexion.
