on a side note, is their any way to put the melted portion into tube form again?

I just use an ELF lip brush...its cheap and performs no different than my high end lip brush. As far as rebuilding the bullet...from what I see from the pic...I just don't see that as being possible. I tried to re-attach a bullet that broke off at the base and everytime I used it it would lean unto the side of the tube. I just gave up and transferred it into a pot.

Thank you Shelley, I will check elf counter on my next visit. why spend more if it performs the same :)
I am looking for some videos but this does not seem possible :)
thanks again!

You're welcome Aru. Such a shame when our beloved lippies are reduced to butter. :(

Exactly Shelley, this one was an Indian brand and was of my sister. she gave it to me when I went home last October! lots of nostalgia!! :(:(

Yep Sush, its a lakme one. it was almost 2/3 used up, it kind of got melted all over the place...stuck to the inside of the tube... :(
thanks though, next time if I get a broken lipstick (hopefully not) the tip will come in handy... :)

At that point I just put in a pot. I save my empty rose salve tins. I actually left a lip gloss stick in the car the other day and it melted. I put in the fridge and once it set I was able to re mold it and it was fine.

Thank you Heather! I just noticed your response! so you just left it in the tube itself right?

Yeah. only the top maybe quarter inch was above the tube when it melted. I didn't touch it, just stuck in the fridge for a few hours. I guess different formulas would react differently, so it may not always work. But those empty pots come in handy at that point.
