do the repairing shampoos and conidtioners really work? the oned that say they put split ends back together?

@murphy p. Temporarily. Repair products deposit protein on the hair to temporarily mend weak spots and damage, but they aren't permanent solutions and any mending they do is lost in the next cleansing session or two. They're great for temporary pick-me-ups! But once hair is damaged, the only way to permanently fix it is to trim away the problem area. =( HTH!
