I haven't gotten gel Nails for years. it helps to prevent breakage and offers a better finish. However, studies have proven that the UV light is causing cancer. the more you use it the more you make yourself susceptible to it. hope I helped

I've had gel for less than 4 months and yes they can look really natural and well finished, but I had strong and long nails and now they look like a piece of paper :( so weak , it definietly damages a lot.
