What's the difference between an Ombré and a gradient??

Well see I looked this up and I'm sure Olivia would disagree with me but Ombre is a term typically used for colors that go from light to dark or dark to light. As long as it's the same color. And gradient is a term used for a transition between DIFFERENT colors for example purple green and blue.
