Hey ladies!
I just wanted to share with you guys how I cleared up my skin but first I want to give a bit of backstory.
Last year for some reason my acne flared up horribly, before I just had a couple of pimples here and there but now my face was covered, and they hurt.
I did not feel comfortable going out in public because my stepfather refused to let me get any makeup or even try anything to clear it up other than a couple cheap face washes.
Recently though, he's not in my life anymore and my grandmother, who knew what a tough time I was having, helped me in battling my acne. Her first suggestions were proactiv and Epiduo or accutane, but all 3 had side effects I didn't want. My sister who had experienced acne quite bad herself, offered me trying Tretnoin and seeing if it helped.
Well I thought I would give it a shot, so that along with St.Ives Apricot Scrub, I started my new routine. For the first few weeks I applied it religiously every night, and washed my face in the morning but didn't see a huge decrease. But after some online research I found that most people didn't get their huge reaction until about a month in, the first week or two was the 'purging' period and then after that it would clear up. I was doubtful of course but still carried on, about the 3rd week in, my acne started clearing up, and my scars were lightening.
Now my acne is completely gone, and I have stopped using the Tretnoin. My routine now is just a simple morning and night wash. I use Biore Ice Cleansing wash in the morning and Neutrogena Duo Cleanser at night.

And Jenna, it was a topical cream, my sister found that the cream version worked better for her, but the topical gel worked fine for me!
