It's basically a tinted moisturizer excep it's supposed to have more benefits for your skin I like it because it's lighter then foundation but still evens out your skin.

BB Cream stands for Beauty Balm. It's supposed to be a lighter weight, lighter coverage face product, with benefits like sun protection, blemish control, and helping hyperpigmentation. To be perfectly honest though, most American BB Creams are little more than tinted moisturizers and hardly even deserve that title.

Actually, Triara, it's the opposite. CC creams are color correcting, so they'll have more coverage than a BB cream (it's hard to correct color when something is really sheer). In my personal opinion, as well, BB creams are nowhere near the level of a foundation. They're closer to very sheer tinted moisturizers; barely any coverage at all.

I have to disagree, American bb creams may be that way but I have two Asian bb creams and both are very good at coverage, much more than a tinted moisturiser, like a light coverage foundation.

I'm sure both of you ladies are correct, though my experience is limited to American BB creams (which are really useless) and one Swedish BB cream which is absolutely lovely. I haven't tried any asian brands, as the whole BB cream trend never really appealed to me.

Yes, I believe Lumene is Swedish (I could be wrong) and I think it's lovely for the one day a month I feel like wearing something on my face :)
