Should I dye my hair myself.. Please see my pic I need advice.

I got highlights and dyed my hair back in January , as you can see in the pic I am long overdue for a touch up my roots are crazy! But I wasn't too happy with the color not to mention it dried my hair. I was thinking of doing a box dye maybe some shade of red nothing too bright, but I'm afraid my roots will look too bright? What do you ladies suggest? Should I try myself or go get it professionally done.

Because you have multiple colors in your hair and if you use a box color dye it may not come out the way you want it. it will be best to see a professional.
