I have natural curls but when I air dry my hair is gets really puffy, is there any way to make it not so puffy or to put something in it before it drys. Any ideas will help.

Moroccan oil works well, tames and adds shine to frizzy hair. It's a bit on the pricey side but a regular bottle can last you a few months if you use a few drops each day. You don't need much of the product... 5 drops should do for mid hair length! It's worth it :)

You don't really NEED to buy all these curl creams and stuff. Just don't wash out all of your conditioner or any at all when you're in the shower. You seem like your hair lacks moisture and that'll do the trick.
