I've gone from red to blonde years ago. Red and black are the two hardest colours to get rid of, and blonde is a hard one to get to. It's going to take you a good while to get there and the process won't be fun. You'll be letting hair grow out all the time, colours fade and your hair will be orange for most of the journey haha. I'd suggest getting highlights done and asking your hairdresser to try and lighten your hair to get it as close to the picture as possible, get a good cut and deep conditioner and leaving it like that for a few months and just keeping getting more highlights and lightening everytime you go to the hairdresser after that.

You can try, ask your hairdresser first, Mine never suggested that but it doesn't mean it won't work for you, she'll have to lighten your hair first anyway. You will be ginger for a while, you wouldn't believe how hard red is to get out.

I'd try using a colour stripper and going from there (orange hair) it'll save starting off with bleaching straight away if you're worried. Personally though, I've just gone from a dark red to blonde and what I did was try to wash the red out as much as I could (I also had purple and pink tones in the ends from dye Buildup) after that I bleached the first time with a 30vol peroxide and bleach powder, it came out fairly yellow but brassy in other places, my roots had held the most red and were a pinky red colour after the first bleach. I waited about a week (you should wait two weeks just to be sure your hair can handle it) with 20vol peroxide and bleach because my hair was already fairly light. It came out an all over yellow colour after the second bleach but Still brassy so I used a purple shampoo on dry hair for an hour to leave it more of a lilac shade. This is my hair when the toning shampoo has faded out from the lilac, it's a platinum blonde :) hope that helps!
