Sounds like your hair needs intensive deep conditioning. I'll tell ya what products helped get my moisture level back up in my hair. I dumped any shampoos that contained sulfates because it is actually quite drying on hair. Carols Daughter Tui Shampoo is great. Sulfate free and its moisturizing to the hair. For day to day conditioning I use TreSemme Naturals Nourishing Moisture Conditioner. It has a ton of slip if your hair tends to tangle and plus....for a big huge bottle for $3 bucks at Walmart you just can't beat it. You didn't mention if you are wearing your hair curly and going thru transition but I use As I Am Hydration Elation...its a deep conditioner that I use twice a month. Sometimes I leave it on for a few hours or overnight with a disposible color plastic cap (you can pick up a bag of those at Sallys). My hair loves it and I see a huge difference in my hair after use. Another thing I have in my stash are various oils....coconut, jojoba, olive oil, shea butter. I mix these and use them as a deep conditioning treatment and apply before shampooing.

Argan oil is very good for natural hair, as well as olive oil and coconut oil. Try Shea Moisture products, I love them. Check out classycurlies.com It has tons of product reviews and hair styling tips.
