Nail designs to ask for?

Hi everyone. I have fake acrylic nails and I'm pretty horrible at doing my nails. I want to get a nail design but I'm not sure whether the ladies at the nail salon can do everything or not. For those that have experience, do you get designs done? And do you just bring in a picture of it or something? Sorry if this doesn't make much sense. :)

Yeah most times I take in a picture and tell them to recreat it or if I want something changed and nail salons shold be able to do most of it.
