Hello! I'm going to be bleaching my hair soon to go to bright blue and green, but I want to lessen the damage as much as possible. I've heard lathering your hair in coconut oil, the applying the bleach over that helps quite a lot, the thing is; I can't find, nor afford coconut oil whilst still being able to afford my dye. So I was wondering, are there any substitutes to coconut oil? I've heard good things about doing a similar procedure with argon oil (applying it, leaving it on for a few hours or overnight, then applying the bleach other the oil) Thanks for any help given!

I agree with Jacqlyn check walmart and look for coupons on retailmenot.com if you need them. Remember vaseline is a sealant! You wouldn't put glue on your hair hahaha :p.

As the Jacqlyn and Bekah said, don't use Vaseline. Bleaching won't do anything to your hair if you have vaseline blocking it. Coconut oil isn't very expensive, but I guess it varies. You can find it basically in any grocery store and yes, walmart!
