Eye lashes falling out.

I had thick eye lashes ,but I've noticed since I've started using mascara I've had less.Is mascara making them fall out because I don't even use that much.I don't curl them either.

Do you pull on them when you take off your mascara? Or do you sleep with your mascara on? Either one of those will cause your eyelashes to break off.
