You could probably put in leave in conditioner before you swim so it doesn't strip your hair as much. I used to be a swimmer and Malibu makes a shampoo and conditioner for chlorine.

I'm a swimmer and I usually do hair masks every 2 weeks and try to wear a swimming cap all the time! But if you're just going for a casual swim in your pool, then I guess just do hair masks :) and try to get sulfate free or silicone free (can't remember which one to get, I think it's sulfate free) shampoos so it doesn't strip the natural oils and color from your hair.

Chlorine is so bad for your hair! Put a conditioner on it before you go in but let it sink in for a bit then afterwards just wash it thoroughly with a moisturising shampoo then put a hair mask on or something just because the chlorine will strip your hair of all moisture!

Use a clarifying shampoo to get all the nasty stuff out of your hair, especially if you're blonde and your hair turns green. There's a clarifying shampoo by Paul Mitchell that even says it's for swimmers :)

I'm a swimmer, I swim twice a day everyday
So I know the struggle with chlorine damaged hair
Use a shampoo and conditioner specifically for swimmers/removing chlorine
Do a hair mask about once a week if you can to bring moisture back to your hair
Thoroughly rinse your hair with fresh water ( water from shower) before you get in the pool, so your hair won't absorb so much chlorine
Always wear a swim cap
Use a leave in conditioner or hair oil after washing your hair
