I used a 1.5 inch barrel iron and held it for about 15 seconds and then held the curl drop into my hand until it cooled Mackenzie

Megan, I was hoping they would be a little curlier as well when I was doing them, I just washed my hair this morning and it wasn't holding well, hopefully it will next time

Use pins. When I want my curls to be curlier when using a large barrel iron I always just pin them up, spray lightly with hairspray, let cool and take down. It helps to keep the curl in and also makes your hair way bouncer :)
