I have an issue with eyeliner smearing. I don't know if it's the eyeliner I buy, or if there is a trick to getting it to stay put. I've tried all sorts of eyeliners, mac fluidline, urban decay, smash box, revlon, wet and wild liquid liner. Always but the middle of the day I notice that I have smudges around the outer corner of my eyes. I'm really at a loss of what to do. I've tried so many things. Please help!

If you have oily lids try priming your eyelids first, I recommend Urban Decay's Primer Potion. I'm going to give you a few options to try out..
Line your eyes first with an eyeliner pencil then go over it with your liquid liner.
Line your eyes with a eyeliner pencil & set with an eyeshadow.
Here's a few eyeliners I would suggest: Stila's Stay All Day Eyeliner (liquid felt tip pen), Urban Decay's 24/7 Eyeliner (pencil) & MAC's Fluidline (gel) I know you already tried it but maybe give it another go trying these tips.
Hoped this helped :)

Its definitely the eyeliner you are using, keep trying different brands until you find one that doesn't smudge. And stay away from Stila, their eyeliners smudge like crazy!

All eye liners smudge, you can try adding shadow over it, just keep looking for one that works for you.

Liza and Natise are right- primer is the key here. Apply a good primer all over your lids, in the outer corners of your eye, and even under the bottom lashes. Let it dry, then pat lids all over with a nude shadow (or a colored one, your choice). Then do your liner- I can guarantee it will stay a million times better.

try the prestige total intensity eyeliners. they are out of this world!! they cost $5.5 and are great! when doing bridal work (and the bride insists on lining the waterline) this is the only one i'll use. it's that good!

Milani has a really good smudge proof liquid eyeliner. After applying it, let it dry and then set it with powder to make sure it doesnt go anywhere
