i have a couple of big pores on my left cheek. is there anything that can make them shrink or become less visible?

Gricelda M.
Yes , for a temporary solution you can rub some ice on the area and that should close them or at least make them less visible. I personally apply an avocado clay mask twice a weak and that helps with the appearance of my large pores. Also I've heard a toner may help too

you need Clinique Pore Refining Solutions serum.its oil free and reduces pores instantly and over time by gentley exfolisting and mattyfying to stop excess oil without being harsh.it also brings new cells to the surface and strengthens the skin to pull pores back together. Im a beauty therapist and work for clinque too.ive got loads of pores and i cant live without it! get a sample from your clinique counter :)

You could try a facial steam bath to open them up, then clean the area really well and then splash some cold water on your face to close the pores down. It's not a permanent fix but it will definitely help!

Nov 13, 2012
Ankita N.
@samantha: i exfoliate like 3-4 times a week and they yet don't seem to disappear. :( I called a beautician to help me out but she did not remove all of it. :(

Having extractions done, toning and keeping the follicles clean. A clairsonic or similar cleansing device will help along with regular gentle exfoliation at least twice a week.

@landrey: Where will a clarisonic be available?

I have lots :( Round my nose/under eyes & above my nose on my forehead.
Really recommend Gricelda's suggestion of an avocado mask (thanks!). I put it on after my shower this morning, left for 20 minutes, washed off, exfoliated with oil & ground almond scrub, then rinsed cold. They look much better - not gone yet, but way clearer. Thanks Gricelda!

I know this sounds crazy, but if you mix baking soda and orange juice (not from concentrate) to make a slightly loose paste, and buff onto clean dry skin ... it shrunk my pores dramatically. I know it sounds crazy but I found it on Pinterest once and loved it! be careful and thoroughly rinse your face after! good luck!!!! 💟

I work for a cosmetic company and one of the best thing to do is to get on a specific skin care regiment. cleanser, toner, and moisturizer (oily skin does need moisturizer. if you only cleanse and tone, your skin will overcompensate and produce more oil) and I also exfoliate two times per week. clairsonic also works wonders, as does cliniques pore refining solution as a few others have said! good luck!

@ankita if they are really small and kind of hard it sounds like you have milia. You should look it up and see if that describes those little pimple looking white heads.

A Clarisonic cleaner would help with it all! Ulta and Sephora both sell them. Check out the reviews on Sephora. The clarisonic chaned my life practically!
