Proactiv users: help!
So I recently decided to try out Proactiv and see if it lives up to the hype. I have been using it for 2 days now. I have followed the instructions precisely to make sure I'm not missing any step that might cause it to be ineffective. My face has broken out and I have bumps on my forehead, cheeks, and chin. I wanted to know if you've experienced something similar? Is this something that happens in the beginning an gradually fades? Should I continue to use it? Please let me know your experience with it as well as the results you got. Thanks!!

I agree with Kay it's normal to break out when you start any new acne treatments - but it may be too strong for your skin so you can reduce use to once a day and then gradually increase to twice a day if you need to - I used proactiv when I was in junior high n it worked great but as I got older the harshness became too much for my sensitive skin so I couldn't use it anymore - now I use more natural products like willow bark, witch hazel n tea tree oil and that has been working for me now that I'm an adult.

It's always normal to break out in the beginning. I know a lot of people who benefitted from Proactiv. For me, personally, I never stopped breaking out and I just ended up quitting because my skin looked horrendous.

Proactive broke me out badly :/ plus it turns out I'm allergic to their combination of ingredients so my skin started swelling. not cute :P.

I've used it before and I immediately stopped! It made my skin worse! Stop using it. Just leave your acne alone and they will go away don't irradiate them with all these stupid products makes skin dry nasty. So yeah stay away from it 💗

It really depends on how much acne you have how much you apply and if you're skin is sensitive
I own proactive and I don't use it every day I normally follow up with washing my face
hope this helped

When you start using proactive, it cleansed your pores really well which makes them susceptible to being filled by impurities. Eventually after a week or so your face will clear up and adapt to it!!(:

I used proactive for 4 months straight and al the while it made my skin worse. The combination of the toner, wash, and cream was too much for my skin. It made my acne worse and dryer out my skin so so bad. In fact, my skin is still healing after I stopped using it. Don't use it

Your skin is purging all the acne deep down in your skin. However, I've learned proactiv doesn't work for everyone. I use all natural products. Cleaner, toner, sulfur mask and argan oil. No chemicals or acids.
