I would say to take the back straps and pull them together and pin them so they make an X shape. ( I hope I make sense )

Or you pin the straps individual with 2 safety pins. That way you can quickly get the desired fit.

Fold the straps in the back so they are tight enough and then pin them on the inside of the dress.
