I'd do classic makeup and nothing to bright. When I went (flute duet) they said that they liked how my and my partner match (we had matching sweaters). So just look nice and have a classic look and nothing to bright. Are you singing or playing an instrument? :)

I don't know about wearing bold lipstick while playing your instrument lol, I like natural make up with wing black eyeliner and some blush. Have your hair in a half up half down look to keep hair away from face

I play saxophone as well. Trust me, you don't want to wear lipstick at all! Your reed will be a red/pink mess. Just wear eos lip balm:)
