I do condition it a lot but it just feels so dry and a little brittle near the ends. Also I noticed I am losing a lot of hair to when I brush it. Sometime I will just run my fingers through my hair and a strand will come out.

Organix Brazilian Keratin Oil. You can get it at any drugstore. It's about $6 but lasts long. You only need an ample amount to moisturize your hair. I love it because it doesn't weigh down your hair like grease and other oils.

Hot oil treatments at least once a week, I use coconut oil but you can use any oil you like. I also find scalp massage helps a lot with stopping hair falling out. I just massage mine everyday for 5 minutes and its made a world of difference.

Organic morrocan argon oil. I forgot the price but you can find it at drugstores. Just like the Brazilian keratin oil, it doesn't weight hair down, it's not greasy and it provides great shine.

For the dryness, I mix coconut oil in with my conditioner & let it sit for about 5 mins. That works wonders!! I had a big problem with hair loss before too and started to apply caster oil to my scalp 1-3 times a week and let it stay on my scalp in a shower cap all night. That made my hair completely stop shedding (except the normal amount of hair loss of course). Good luck! :)

Another tip is to lay off heat styling such as blow-drying, flat ironing, curling, straightening and coloring. I also love the WET BRUSH on wet hair. And keep up with regular trims & conditioning & masks.

It's normal to lose a certain amount of hair but if the amount has significantly increased and hair is drier than usual there might me a medical issue or certain medications can cause dryness and more fall out. Is your hair chemically treated? What hair type are you? Thin? Curly?

I am using Pantene damage repair products right now.
I stopped using all hair products (de-tangler and frizz spray ) a few months ago because my scalp was getting irritated and itchy. I have used it once or twice in the last month
I haven't curled my hair in a while though I went on a little bit of a frenzy (well frenzy to me is twice or more a week) during the holidays.
I have curly hair that I would say is sort of in the middle or thick and thin. (Probably more towards the thin side since I asked my hairdresser to thin-in it out for spring to fall)
I don't know if this would have anything to do with it but recently I tried that no heat hairstyle where you twist your hair and put it on top of your head while you sleep. Could that of pulled on the roots of my hair to much? I don't know it's been a week since I've tried that...

Thank you for giving more info. Did the dryness and loss of hair begin last week when you did the no heat style? I know I keep asking questions...the more info the better...is ypur hair chemically treated?

The dryness has been going on for 2 weeks or so now and I noticed my hair falling out about a week or so ago after I brushed my (wet) hair. I let it air dry and watched a movie for a while but when I got up I noticed a few strands on my shirt. Then I went to brush it out and it was everywhere. I don't believe I chemically treat my hair. I have never dyed my hair (sadly my mother would cry she's in love with my hair) um...the frizz spray I use says they don't recommend mixing it with other products but I do anyways... I don't know if that would cause anything but yeah.

I would recommend a checkup with your doctor, where he can order blood tests. It could be.anything from low iron to an overactive thyroid. Try to increase protein and green leafy vegatables. To the best of my knowledge frizz serum and trying a no heat styling technique would not cause this. When you get a clean bill of health there are tons of products that will help.
