Different brands have different products that are better than others so it's not really a matter of best brand. For instance, in my opinion, Revlon makes the best drugstore foundation, but Loreal makes the best mascara. Others will probably say different it's a matter of what you prefer.

I'm with Tara. There truly isn't a superior brand out there. What might be a hit for one person could be dud for someone else. For me Loreal has been the bomb diggity for mascara but I'm not a fan of their eye colors. Its all pretty much subjective. As far variety goes I would have to say that Maybelline has amped up the line to include some items only put out by pricier lines.
