I'm going to be really honest I thought I wanted to write one for a really long time and had my head filled with all these ideas I had to write about and so I took the plunge made a website even bought my own domain but after writing a few things I got decent amount of comments on each thread and veiws especially for just starting out but my page looked off and I realized its because I don't have a camera therefore I don't really have pictures and I didn't like the way it turned out. so I stopped writing. I still constantly plan things like I still wrote it though. my advice would to not buy a domain until youve at least kept constant at it for a few months and try to think of everything like taking pictures of products your talking about, do you have a camera? a decent lighting setup things like that. Also like the girls were saying pick what topic youd like to stick with. Will it be style, makeup, hair or just makeup. that will help you find a name but then you make sub categories like say you were to just do it on makeup. you could have a tutorial section, makeup hauls, tips/tricks, reviews things like that then come up with as many specific topics as you can and write them all down like 5 different ways to use glitter, why this is better than that, stuff like that. That way when you start you can focus on writing vs stuck with writers block or if you realize you can't thing of very many than its maybe not the right time to start one. Keep in mind to let your personality show through your writing and let readers get to know you. You should have good grammar and punctuation or no one will read it if it seems unprofessional. Don't write about what you don't know. Yes everyone is into contouring right now but if you don't know how to contour then don't write about it because the people who read beauty blogs are beauty lovers and they may call your bluff and no one wants to read a phonys blog. Lastly if you do decide to make one do it for you. not to become internet famous or views or any of that only you.
