Use a really dense, soft brush, like the airbrush finish foundation brush that Tarte made. You can also use the expert face brush by Real Techniques, which is the cheaper option. You want something that's going to blend and buff the foundation into your skin, giving that airbrushed appearance, and for me, both of those brushes have done the job well. And you can set it with powder (I set it on my T-zone, that's where my skin gets oily the most), or a setting spray. Either works well :)

I use a translucent powder. The one I'm currently using is Revlon PhotoReady. But you can pretty much use any brand you'd like :)
