Thanks girls! @aly instead of shampoo and conditioner I was my hair with a honey, baking soda, and water mixture. Some people use one or the other, but I've found this to be the best for my hair and scalp and then I rinse it with an apple cider vinegar and water mixture!

Does it work if you use a normal conditioner instead of apple cider vinegar or does that defeat the object? I've tried washing with baking soda but it just didnt feel clean. Although I only did it once, maybe if I stuck with it it might start working better.

It might take a week to get used to it. I tried baking soda first and it irritated my scalp and with just honey it got oily too fast. So I use one table spoon of honey, one of baking soda and 6 tablespoons of hot water and mix it up right before I shower. I'm not sure if you could still condition, but I know I don't need to and I used to use so much conditioner.

That's amazing, I read in one of Lauren Conrad's books that if you don't wash your hair for a long enough period, your hair will actually clean itself.

Thanks y'all! And yes I can go much longer without washing my hair now! But if anyone decides to do this make sure you brush your hair while it's dry before you wash it in the shower, bc since you won't have the silicone in the conditioner it won't have that same super smooth feeling while wet.
