I wanna dye my medium brown hair light brown is there anyway to do this at home like a good box dye, don't really wanna go to the hairdressers.

Sooo in terms of box dying you can go two ways. No matter the way you go, please be sure to deeply condition your hair afterwards. :)
Method 1: You can bleach your hair to the desired shade or bleach it really light and dye over it. This would be very drying.
Method 2: Buy a blonde box dye, like a golden blonde or ash blonde. Since your hair is medium brown, it should lift the color to your desired shade. But make sure to check as the color is lifting. You can use dyes like Revlon Colorsilk, any of the Garnier Brands, Vidal Sassoon I think came out with dyes so yeah. Best of luck!
